As Australian Open contender Amelie Mauresmo
acknowledged, the tennis world will see a lot more of Ana Ivanovic.
Mauresmo had to recover from a service break down in the second set to overcome the rich talents of the Serbian teenager to move into the fourth round at Melbourne Park for the fifth time in seven
years.
It was Ivanovic's first defeat from 11 matches in 2005 after the 17-year-old served notice to her more experience rivals with the biggest rankings leap in history last
season.

In brilliant style Ana Ivanovic
started game against the top seed. She drove her on all
court, extracting points with the help of sharp
backhands and mad speed. 6-2 - the excellent beginning
of a match. But in the second set Mauresmo "has
woken up", and Аnа, apparently, has too calmed
down, early having believed, that the Amelie is broken.
In deciding set Mauresmo at once has
got down to attack and has led with score 4-0, but Аnа
has not combined the racqets. She reduces break in a
match - 3-4, also it seemed, crisis in-here will come,
but the experience Mauresmo takes top. She holds the own
service and leads up a match to a victory.

Ana had a terrific two-week stay in Miami that included victories against No.10 seed Nadia Petrova and No.6 Svetlana Kuznetsova, which was her first career Top 10 victory.
Ana was playing through a pair of injuries this week in
order to reach her first Tier I quarterfinal. She came
to Miami nursing a sore hamstring and wound up twisting
her ankle in her first practice session at the event.
Despite the aches and pains, Ana was pleased with
her performances during the fortnight.
"Definitely
this was my great effort," Ana said. "I
beat a Top 10 player for the first time. I got a lot of
experience, so many things to learn, even from this match. And there are still so many things I have to
improve in my game, so I'm really looking forward to
that."

In difference from the previous
tournament, this has appeared twice unsuccessful for Ana. She has lost
in first round to Safina practically without struggle, having admitted
set of mistakes. In doubles with Anastasia Myskina, the result is
no good, it is obvious, that they not too fighting after defeats in the
