      Ana to open Ordina Open

     Ana has been drawn to face Australian Alicia Molik in the first round of the Ordina Open. The tie is scheduled as the first match on Centre Court at 12pm Central European Time today, which means that Ana is effectively opening the tournament in s’Hertogenbosch.
     Despite Molik’s ranking of 256, it is a very tricky draw for Ana: the Australian was ranked as high as No.8 16 months ago, before suffering an inner-ear infection that has since seen her play only sporadically on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour.
    However, at the French Open a fortnight ago the 25-year-old revealed that she is now fully fit and reached the third round on her least favourite surface. Her net-rushing style of play and heavy serve are ideally suited to grass, so Ana will have to make a fast start.

    Ana is the No.5 seed. If she overcomes Molik she will face either Iveta Benesova or Sania Mirza in round two, neither of whom would be easy.

   In addition to  Ana and Maria Kirilenko will face today on the 1st round in doubles with third seeds Eleni Daniilidou and Anabel Medina Garrigues.    

Ana Ivanovic has made the second round of the Ordina Open. She managed to defeat the Australian player Alicia Molik 1-6, 6-3, 2-6. In 2nd round Ana will play against Iveta Benesova.  Ana won 2 matches vs Benesova before.

In doubles Ana and Maria Kirilenko beat the third seeds Eleni Daniilidou and Anabel Medina Garrigues with score 7-5, 6-4.  Very good start at the first day on tournament !

           In match against Iveta Benesova Аnа immediately has seized the initiative in play and leads 3-0. Only in fourth game Iveta won her service, but Аnа certain kept her service and without special problems has brought the first set victory 6-3.   
    In the second set Ivanovic raced to a 2-0 lead. But Iveta compared the score, here tied on-persisting bitter struggle for each point, Iveta leads 4-3, but Ana add to power and won this match 6-3 7-5.In quarter finals Ana will face with first seeded Elena Dementieva from Russia.  Ana once play vs Elena and lost in 3 sets at Indian Wells this year.

  Yesterday in doubles quarter final Ana with Maria Kirilenko to beat Czech Gabriela Navratilova and Vladimira Uhlirova 6-1, 6-3.

           Ana Ivanovic lost  to first seeded player Elena Dementieva in the quarter finals of the Ordina Open with score 6-7 (6) 4-6.
    Ana has 2 setballs on tie-breake, she leads 6-4, but don`t realized its.  In the second set Elena dominated on the court and won the match. 

  Ana exacted swift revenge on Elena Dementieva, who had beaten her in the singles quarter-finals earlier in the day. Ana and Maria Kirilenko defeated second seeds Dementieva and Flavia Pennetta 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 to reach their first final together.

           Ana and Maria Kirilenko  lost  to first seeded Chinese players Zi Yan and Jie Zheng in the final of the Ordina Open with score 6:3 2:6 2:6. It was Ana and Maria's first final together. They had chances after victory in the first set but the experience of the Chinese pairing took them to the title.
