       Ana seeded number 8 on Generali Ladies Linz, stated on Monday. Here her much does not lucky with draw. In top part of draw there are 1st seeded Amelie Mauresmo and 4st seeded Patty Schnyder.
     In the first round Ana will play against Shinobu Asagoe from Japan (34th number in WTA ranking ). Years ago Ana win match vs Asagoe with score 4-6 6-4 6-1 on Luxembourg.

Ana Ivanovic win the determined match against Asagoe with score 7:6 (4)  6:2.  Very difficult for Ana was first set, she leads 4:3 and 5:4, but Asagoe fights. A tiebreak must bring the decision. Asagoes first option lands far in out - Ana wins the tiebreak with 7:4 and concomitantly the first sentence.  In the second set Ana crushed the discouraged opponent and quickly win the match.

The match against Asagoe was not easy, she is very fast and I had my tactics somewhat wrong in the first set. Anyway, the first round is always difficult, new surface, new surrounding…
Today is the day for relaxing and resting. I had my morning practice, massage and then went for a stroll along Danube. The city centre is only about ten minutes walk from our hotel. Beautiful architecture, lots of restaurants and very tempting shops.

Next round Ana will face with debutante of WTA tournaments, got wildcard, Tamira Paszek from Austria (even not having rating WTA).

Ana Ivanovic defeated Austrian wild card Tamira Paszek, 7-5, 6-1, to set up a quarterfinal encounter with No. 9 Tatiana Golovin of France.  Absolutely unexpectedly Ana Ivanovic has met stubborn resistance  of young 14 years old Tamira Paszek.  As 2 day ago very difficult for Ana was first set, she lost 4:5, at this moment Ana plays accurately and rebreak 5:5.  And with a double error Paszek delivers unfortunately this set.
     Second set Ana play without more errors and win this match 7:5 6:1.

Ana Ivanovic go to the semifinal after beating Tatiana Golovin of France 7-5 6-3.

In a match between two 17-year olds, Ivanovic went 3-0 up but allowed her French opponent to level at 3-3 before breaking again for the set.

In the second set, it was Golovin who took a 3-0 lead, but Ivanovic responded by winning the next six games to reach her second semi-final in two weeks.
     And second match she meets with Patty Schnyder.

"I think the court here is a little different than the one in Zurich," Ivanovic said before the match. "Last week the court seemed to take a lot more of the spin, which helped her, but I think the surface here may help me. It's my second semifinal in two weeks, but this week I want to go one round better and reach the final."

     But fight on-equal against Patty Schnyder last only in the first set. Ivanovic opens the match beautifully, she leads 2:0. Schnyder begin actively attack Аna and has make 3:3. In the end of set Patty with the first option makes much pressure and Ana  makes too many mistakes. Sometimes she needs too many chances to win a point. Schnyder won the set 7:5.
     In the second set Schnyder has a great advantage. Ana was obviously affected by wasted chances in the first set and allowed Schnyder to race ahead to 0-4 before she started playing the patient game that worked very well for her in the first set. At 1-4 Ana had a few break points which nearly got her back in the match.  Schnyder won this match 7:5 6:2.
